An Unashamed Catholic

Michael Voris makes me proud to be Catholic. I wish we had bishops that defended the One True Faith the way he does. Watch him take on the head of the “Catholic” League.

Jamaica Descends from Civilization into Savagery

My mom is from Jamaica and was born in the 1930s. I and others have noticed the steep decline of moral values in the Jamaican population. Jamaicans were once mocked for their great work ethic. They were once known for having 2 or 3 jobs. In the 1980s they were mocked on national TV by In Living Color for their legendary work ethic.

Now I have heard stories of the younger generation. They would rather beg than work. The Jamaican laziness is now legendary. My older Jamaican relatives are some of the most well mannered, family oriented and God fearing people you would ever meet. The younger generation are nothing but ignorant savages. The murder rate in the whole country is worst than our worst city – Detroit, illegitimacy rate stands at 86%, and Jamaica is the least religious majority black country in the world with only 70% saying religion is important in their lives. That is amazing low for black people.

Do you think that somebody would investigate why this happened? No. Of course not. We are black. We can’t engage in any self-criticism or self-evaluation. If we did that, we may actual learn something. No, lets put our heads in the sand and blame racism.

Did Kierkegaard know some Yuppies?

They must of had a Starbucks in 19th century Denmark because I never heard a more accurate description of the American corporate yuppie.

Kierkegaard in Either/Or

Let others complain that our age is wicked; my complaint is that it is wretched, for it lacks passion. Men’s thoughts are thin and flimsy like lace; they are themselves are pitiable like lace makers. The thoughts of their hearts are too paltry to be sinful. For a worm it might be regarded as a sin to harbor such thoughts, but not for a being made in the image of God. Even their lusts are dull and sluggish, their passions sleepy. They do their duty, these shop-keeping souls, but they clip the coin a trifle. … They think that even if the Lord keeps a careful set of books, they may still cheat Him a little. Out upon them! This is the reason my soul always turns back to the Old Testament and Shakespeare. Those who speak there are at least human beings: they hate; they love; they murder their enemies, and curse their descendants throughout all generations; they sin.

Usain Bolt, Steroids and Yuppies

Before you read this post you should know that my mom is from Jamaica.  There is no doubt in my mind that the Jamaican track and field team is cheating. Jamaica is a poor country where the vast majority of people lack basic morals. I know because my Mom is from there. They no longer believe in hard work, God, and family. The gangsta lifestyle and baby mama mentality has taken over that country. Jamaica has the 4th highest murder rate in the world of 52.2. To put that in perspective, Detroit’s murder rate is 48.2 (2011). So the whole country has a crime problem as bad as our worst city. Jamaica’s illegitimacy rate is 86%.  Do you really think testing their sprinters for steroids is a top priority?

Jamaica has almost 3 million people and we have about 42 million black people. So we have 14 times the black population they have. Our blacks are now better disciplined and have better training facilities and coaching, yet Jamaica takes gold and silver in the 100m and sweeps the 200m. Come on! You can’t be serious. That isn’t just a little suspicious.

Why doesn’t the media question this? They questioned Ye Shiwen’s eyebrow raising performance, see here, here, here. I don’t know. But I think it is because of some strange self hatred among the American yuppies that control the media. I have worked in New York in Fortune 500 companies and it is not cool for yuppies to be proud to be American. But the third world is cool in their minds. For example, I don’t know how many times I have heard yuppies make jokes about Americans being obese. Maybe since China is no longer considered a third world country we can question them, but since Jamaica is still third world “Cool” questioning their athletes is off limits. I don’t know. It is just a guess. Trying to figuring out the irrational yuppie mind is a difficult task.

Speaking of yuppies this is the best quote I have ever seen describing them.

8. Go on an Overnight Retreat

See the complete list of 10 Catholic Ways To Cope With Depression here

I have been on 3 retreats in the last year and I have learned a lot about myself and have grown spiritually partly because of the retreats. Two of the retreats I went on were silent Ignatius retreats and one was an ACTS retreat. The ACTS retreat was more social and had more fellowship. I hugged more dudes the one weekend than I did my whole life. The Ignatius style retreats are more introspective and consists of more mediation. I would ask your priest if he knows of any retreat houses near where you live. These websites (click here) seem to have an OK list of retreat houses.

I would also like to note that when ever I went to a retreat I felt a sense of dread. I would say to myself, “Why I am going to this?” and I would think of skipping the retreat. You will probably feel the same way. Go to the retreat!!. Trust me. After every retreat I felt great.
